June 10, 2017 @ 8:00 am - August 5, 2017 @ 7:00 pm

Full Details

Community Computer Alliance (CCA) is a 501(c) (3) nonprofit organization that empowers individuals, improves our communities, and aids in conserving our world – one computer at a time.  CCA provides workforce development and job readiness opportunities for individuals with Autism and other developmental disabilities through our strategic partnerships. CCA understands that some of the participants in our events might get tired or be overwhelmed during the Adventures! — for this reason, CCA will be offering a secondary activity! This secondary activity will consist of an art project to do while the rest of the tour is finishing. A gluten free snack and juice will be provided to everyone when the tour is finished.

  1. Breakfast on the Farm – June 10th 8am to 11pm

Free Admission and Wheel Chair Accessible!

Just Register By Email — eventsint@ccompa.org

Autism Adventures! hosted by Community Computer Alliance is kicking off the summer with the 6th Annual Breakfast on the Farm hosted by Franklin & Madison County Farm Bureaus and Beck’s Hybrids. Come join us and over 700 people to help satisfy your appetite for omelets, but also for knowledge. This farm experience uses a hands on approach to teach you many things that may not have even crossed your mind before. The Adventure! will be held in London, Ohio which is just about 30 minutes East from almost anywhere in Columbus. See for yourself, here’s a map – just type in your own address as the starting location. The address of the event is 720 US-40 NE, London, OH 43140 just in case the link doesn’t pop up correctly.

All ages are invited to the family activities at the event – this is the Breakfast at the Farm Flyer that lists all of the activities that will be available. We will be pairing families together so that they can experience the event together and to have the opportunity to meet someone else within the community. Please register with CCA by emailing and we will handle the registration process as a whole.

  1. Nature that Nurtures –Autism Adventures! – July 8th from 4pm to 6pm @ Sharon Woods Metro ParkFree Admission and Wheel Chair AccessibleLet’s go on an adventure with the Audubon Society! They have agreed to release some of their finest tour guides for our woodsy walk. The walk will begin at the trailhead of the Edward S. Thomas Trail near the bathrooms in the parking lot at the end of the park’s main road. Please take a look at the green trail on this map. There will also be physical signs to follow after you get to the parking lot to help lead you to us. We will be walking the winding loop of the Edward S Thomas Trail (green) and then part of the Lake Trail (Blue) for approximately 1.5 miles. Our tour guides will be pointing out all of the interesting trees, plants, small animals, birds, and any other wildlife we happen to discover. Please bring the most curious members of your family and don’t forget your questions.**Also, if you’d like to stick around for some catch & release fishing on Schrock Lake, we have talked to the Park Rangers and they said they would allow us to fish without a license from 4 to 7pm. Fishing poles and lure will be provided, but bring your own if you can. Sharon Woods is also offering “Canoe on the Lake” for free from 2pm to 5pm.

In order to help make new friends, you will be paired with another family or two. At 2 pm there is a zoo keep talk at the Bonobos — Community Computer Alliance plans on saying a few words to thank you for coming out and to tell you about how our company is supporting the autism community.
